I think I get this now. There are three iterations.
1. Earliest cars with smaller ball joint bolt holes (8mm) and 18mm ball stud.
2. Revised control arm with larger 10mm ball joint holes.
3. 2002+ with 20mm ball stud and beefier rear bushing.
So the Moog ones probably have 10mm holes, but the 18mm stud. If so, these could be used with the old or new 20mm ball joint on newer cars. Potentially, they have the beefier rear bushing. As the ball joint is inexpensive, I'm tempted to order and see.
I can use the 18mm ball joint on another car.
Other than by physical damage, does the arm itself wear?
Why did you not use poly? Any idea what is different between the two Moog ball joints, one problem solvers, one not?
