BTW, finding traffic on the web that the FSD's do wear out fast and that Koni Sports do not. But Sports will be too harsh for me.

The ride is OK on smooth roads, but that is not helpful.

On uneven pavement there is clunking. But not the mechanical noise that I would expect from hammering sway bar links. Replacing the links would be a good first step. FSD's are $700++ a set and replacing the struts my self is getting to be a burden at my age.

Ride seems to be raw. I don't know why I want to use the term "like a go-cart". There is a lot of steering feedback, sort of a lot of road forces coming back to the steering wheel. Its like isolation from the road is not there. When cornering on uneven pavement, you can feel every thing [lateral forces for every "bump"]through the steering wheel.

How long to 9-5 strut mounts and bearings last? Certainly not the problems that we had with the NG900's. Also have not replaced any suspension or subframe bushings or any engine mounts. Doing everything does not make sense to me as a minor accident can easily "total" a '03 vehicle. The 9-5 is no longer our main ride, we have a diesel BMW now. Did not realize how the 9-5 suspension had been deteriorating, but with the BMW the problems became apparent.

I no longer chase after the sports ride I had with my modified NG900 and now am seeking a smoother ride. So Bilstein HD or Koni Sports are not options, even though they seem to have the longer service life.
