I don't have any good luck doing it from below even with a flex ratchet but have to use a long 3/8 extension (about 2') from above with the T55 socket and a 1" short wobble extension just to line up the socket perfectly.
Then lean on it to make the socket stay in place and give it a hard decisive tug with the ratchet to break it loose.
Since the plug is so shallow, the Torx bit really want to jump out and that's why you have to put some weight on it.
