Program Throttle Body?

I have a 2000 9-5 Gary Fisher Wagon. I have nursed along for a few years a throttle body that sometimes put me in limp home mode. It is time to bite the bullet and replace it, as it will now sometimes stall while driving instead of the previous behavior of just stalling at stops.
Does the replacement (new Saab part from eEuropean) need programming of any sort, as Saab USA Parts says, or may it just be swapped new for old?
Any other tricks in replacing the unit?
Thank you.
