I would simply try wrapping some insulation around the battery first.. to see if that helps.. much easier ,and worth a shot...
I've seen some kits on Amazon...
As others have mentioned it could get costly to relocate it to the back.. so for $20 bucks or so.. the insulation may be worth exploring...
I'm on my 4th battery.. on my 2001 w/214k miles... first battery lasted around 5 yrs.. then each of the replacements have lasted around 3 yrs regardless of the brand..
