I'm pretty happy with it, and grateful that an alleged pretender can be part of this community without a proper Saab..
Turned 250k today. As best as I can tell aside from 4 timing belt changes, and 1 oil cooler, I've lived a pretty good life with this car, and not wildly different than my friends with the fours. I am sad that I didn't just replace the DICs last January before they took out the cat, but I was lucky to get an OE cat and Autozone DICs so all is well.
Best as I can recall. .
Normal V6 maintenance
I've replaced:
2 alternators
1 starter
1 a/c compresso
On 4th battery
Exhaust X1 in pieces.
Radiator
Heater core (easier than cabin filter!)
A few bypass valves, motor mounts, bushings, the usual.
Turbo is still original and no blue smoke
30 mpg on long highway. 24 usual commute.
Not too shabby.
