Thermostat change - 03 9-5 ARC - degree? Posted by tkell [Email] (#2189) [Profile/Gallery] (more from tkell) on Tue, 26 Jan 2016 11:40:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Lining up to change thermostat, MotoRad 349-198, 2 new O-rings for coolant pipe side, and temperature sensor this Thursday. Weather forecast 52 degrees and sunny. Steps 7, 8, and 9, to re-fit the lower, middle, and upper intake manifold, (i.e Fit the lower intake manifold. Check the O-ring and coat it with non-acidic vaseline, etc). My questions: phoned parts supplier, explained, responded that the upper and lower intake manifold o-ring and gaskets are sold as a kit containing 2 sets of 3, 3 sets of 2, and 3 upper gaskets. 1.) Does this sound correct? 2.) What is a potential time range for this project, on a scale of veteran / experienced = one hour vs non-veteran / non experienced = two hours? Anything to watch out for, other than thermostat housing requires longer bolts? Thank you!!
