Hello
Saab Friends.
I have a simple question for the Saab 9-5 folks who have experience and done mayor repairs to the engine.
I am a True fan/owner of a Classic 900 and 9000 but the 9-5 power plant is a litle bit different so, I ask...
I know have a 2010 9-5 Auto Aero with about 61k miles on it. Here is what happend;
First issue;
It had a mayor oveheating, and was stranded; the thermostat and hoses along with the heater valve,were replace and was put back to running condition again and it run fine so it seem.
Second issue
While on the highway car began to losse power until it finnally stop runnig. All electrical issues are nominal but compresion test had following; Cyl 1 180psi , 2 140psi, 3 0psi, 4 40 psi. No water in Oil and no oil in water; From your experience; I may looking at just a blown head gasket or should I be also looking to replace Pistons?
This 2010 9-5 Aero was probably one of the last ones Here in Chile and it would be nice to bring it back to its correct running conditions.
Any hints, or comment would be greatly apreciated.
Best Regards
Ganzo From Chile
