2007 9-5 120,000 miles. The catalyic converter was toasted due to a DIC failure and I've been driving it as is for a while. Now I need to replace the cat. I see all the reports warning of aftermarket cats. 1. Is that bulge on the downpipe from the exhaust manifold part of the cat or is it just the unit aft of the first 4 inch flex pipe? Can the new cat be welded in or must I replace the downpipe, flex, cat, and the next pipe? Are there two O2 sensors in a 2007 and should both be replaced now? Anything else I should know? Thanks.
