If there's a musty smell something is wet and has stayed wet. Checking the carpet is standard procedure, but also check that water isn't getting in somewhere else and pooling. I had a water leak in the rear of my wagon and water was pooling under the spare tire ... not a lot, but enough to start smelling. Turned out some weather stripping wasn't fitting properly after a collision repair was completed. Easy fix, now no leak. Also, try replacing your cabin air filter as sometimes it gets wet ... not me, but a friend with a similar 9-5 had that problem. Griots Garage sells these desiccant bags to help dry out the interior. I have one in the car all the time and two more if needed ... so far one works really well to keep the humidity low. I live in Seattle and don't have a garage to park in so the car is constantly misted (at least until July, lol) Good luck.
