The cars sitting at 115,000 miles, I have a solid ! And a solid battery light (not flickering or dimming a bit with rpm's) I hooked a volt meter up to the car while it's running and I'm getting 11.5 volts. Straight battery running the motor after testing turned the car off and the battery showed 40% full. Hooked a trickle charger up to the battery over night and by morning it's at 100% and that's where it's at now (32hrs latter)

While reading the archives I saw horror story's of people buying remann altenators going thru the work of installing it only to find out the alt. they just installed is dead. That would really send me over the edge and it why I was dead set on going new, but..

Advanced is offering life time warranty on a remann, I'd go Eeuro as runner up but I believe the warranty is a year or two from Eeuro (just guessing here) and I have to deal with shipping for the core charge. Not to mention if the remann alt did go out in 9months Id have to deal with shipping again and state my case over the phone. While going advanced auto I can just walk into the story toss them the dead remann drop a receipt and say gimme a new one. Now days they have a person saved in their computers and one dosent even need a receipt anymore. I went in with a dead celled battery 3 years after I bought it (had a 4 year warranty) no receipt. They pulled me up on their computer and in 5min. I was walking out the door holding a brand new battery.

Sometimes it's good to go your local auto part store and other times it's sooo not.
