I too have an 05 Arc Sedan since 06.
I live in Toronto and have just noticed rust on both sides, rear wheel wells, bottom front.
I am on my 4 DIC. Left me stranded far out of town twice (first one failed with codes so I had time to replace). Most recent one failed on highway killing Cat resulting in a bigger bill. It was aftermarket and only 9 months old and not many miles. The previous sudden failure on highway was a SAAB so don't know if it makes a difference or how much you can plan other than having a good spare in the trunk.
Hoses are a problem, some cracking and causing performance issues although was stranded recently by one falling out. Found it by chance and car ran fine after that.
There is a lot of work I should be doing, probably suspension is biggest area.
