Running a 2440 length belt Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 16 May 2016 09:47:46 In Reply to: Re: What !?! No Rolling Rock?, S-Works, Mon, 16 May 2016 09:09:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I installed this belt about 12K miles or 6-8 months ago. No problems whatsoever with this length. The belt sleeve in the trunk (which contains the factory original 2425 length belt as an emergency spare) is for a Goodyear Gatorback and says to see the belt itself for country of manufacture. I remember buying this belt a year or more before I installed it because the catalog replacement was only a 2415 or something incredibly tight. That belt is now in a landfill somewhere.
I popped the hood on the off chance that I could see part of one pulley's worth of belt and read country of manufacture. No such luck.
In my view, the 2425, 2430, 2435, or 2440 lengths will all work fine.
