The 9-5 rear suspension is fairly fragile. Possibly more so than the 9-3. I found with 3 bikes on the hitch and especially with other gear in the trunk (ours is a sedan), it sagged pretty badly. This is with an ultralight hitch (Yakima Hilite3).
The upside in your case is that with a wagon, you won't get the drag I was getting (sedan)... fuel economy with bikes on the back of the sedan was at least as bad as for bikes on the roof. So I'm thinking of going back to putting them on the roof!
