my 2000 saab aero 9.5 now has 145,000 mile mainly because i do not use it more than 3 times per year or so.and i like this car . last week i was on a short trip on it when the tranny selector just moved up and down freely and not engaging. i called aaa and they sent a flatbed .took it to a dealer near my house (keal of european auto ) and a man totally honest . and left the car there ,4 days later i had the car back, it was the tranny cable that broke off.this is the cable that connects the shift lever to the actual tranasmission rod . also ,last year i did a total new suspension.
BUT, i now have 6 cars sitting in the garage including the RC lexus and have to move one out and i decided that the saab has too many miles and i do not want to be stranded again.if anyone is interested and has a fair offer ...the car outside cosmetically is a 9. and mechanically a 10. interior is about an 8.
also i have changed the oil and also the transmission fluid every 3,000 miles or once per year ...do it myself and lately i am having european auto do it . e-mail me at ffb13@aol.com
