P1110 Code an moaning Posted by Doug W [Email] (#2371) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Doug W) on Tue, 30 Aug 2016 14:43:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Our '05 Aero has an odd issue. The P1110 code has appeared. There's no loss of driveability. The car exhibits an odd highly intermittent moaning when under load, particularly when turning. The code appeared today at highway speed right after a moaning incident. I suspect the BPV (turbo by-pass) as the car has nearly 170,000 miles on it.
I'll check the usual vacuum lines. I was in there fiddling with intercooler plumbing when doing AC work but that was last month and 2,500 miles back so I don't suspect my work, but you never know.
Should I take the car on a 230 mile road trip? What's the danger of driving with code P1110 lit up? Currently I had the code turned off by my favorite indie but it may reappear after a moaning incident.
