That's a good point Boomer.
John - keep an eye on the outside temperature reading in the SID display. If it is screwy compared to the known ambient temperature, or just showing "---", the sensor or wires to it could be bad, and cause the ACC to do silly things with temperature regulation.
Either way it is a pretty easy DIY if indeed its bad.
For example, if the circuit is open (the "---" in display) the ACC defaults to a sub-zero degree value for outside temperature, which forces the ACC to heat versus cool (even if the real ambient temperature outside is 100 degrees).
Worth a look.
