AC 30V at battery post proof of alternator failure? Posted by Navid [Email] (#2069) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Navid) on Sun, 11 Sep 2016 10:30:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a parasitic drain 3amps that's not resolved by pulling fuses. I'd disconnect the alternator but it's hard to see back there.
I'm measuring 14.3V while running and when I switch to AC mode on the multimeter I get 30V.
Seems to me I should not see any alternating current at the battery post if the diodes are ok.....right? 12
