Unfortunately I have not seen that on a 9-5 and each year and model have their own secrets where to pry apart to reach the secret spot.

At least you have the door panel off and a used lock to look at to learn what make it tick, so you should be able to figure out the lever or counter weight that needs to be prodded.

I had a 2000 Volvo S70 that I couldn't open the door on and had to pry off the door panel with window open and then slowly break apart the door lock module down to the last lever actuating the door latch. It was several hours of sweat and tears and scraped up hands and fingers.
