However, it may take another 5 or more years to get to 2% (been there). Not necessarily possible but a data driven approach is best. I haven't seen 9-5 owners complaining about out-bore corrosion of brake lines and there are 17 year old units on the road. Has anyone done a post mortem on a failed line? My volvo 240 had the original rad hoses until end of life 550,000km and 20 years because I wanted to see if they would fail. Actual vs engineered life is all over the map. Our blown Triumph engines run hot and do strange things to materials, namely premature destruction.
