I was surprised how easily this bolt head has stripped - not the hardest steel by far. Tried a few different things - nothing worked and completely stripped the head eventually. Even has started drilling it out but the bolt was too hard on the drill bit (yet soft on the hex socket).

The thing that did it for me eventually was this Lisle 62110 screw extractor set from amazon (link below). Hammer it in into the bolt head all the way (may need to drill out the hole slightly). Eventually the bolt let go fairly easy for me - I think all that hammering helped to loosen the grip.
