The cruise control is done with the the electronic throttle body. The only other components are the pedal switches and the stalk switch. If you think about what gets the most action, throttle body is #1 followed by pedal switch. A slightly wonky throttle body will not allow cruise control and not throw any codes to give you a clue. If you car is a stick, check the clutch pedal switch. Good Luck!
