The car was in the middle of traffic when it went "bang!" and the power steering went dead. Had to get it off the road safely, maybe drove 5 min. Enough to cause a lot of trouble. Was a family member.
We have long owned a Saab wagon along with a sedan. Lots of versatility there. I just wonder why a dealer would add about 50% to the KBB for a wagon with 77K, even in very well maintained shape. A "famous," very well-regarded ex-Saab dealer.
I have no experience repairing cars, other than super-minor electrical things. No decent place to work, no tools, etc. But we do have a really outstanding tech, so have to rely on him for a judgment call like this one.
