Tire pressure monitor system - my experience Posted by Mark in Marine [Email] (#1837) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mark in Marine) on Sun, 13 Nov 2016 19:04:05 In Reply to: Disabling tire pressure monitor system, Bert K, Sat, 12 Nov 2016 09:29:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I feel your pain I maintain five vehicles and only one has TPMS, for which I am grateful. The pair of '06 9-5 SC's that I maintain for my daughters were manufactured before it was required and don't have it. We use dedicated snows on all of our vehicles in winter.
The Odyssey van that my wife drives has TPMS, and the first winter it didn't like the sensors in the winter wheels, so we drove all winter with the TPMS dash light on. Thank goodness we never needed to rock out of a bad rut, because with the TPMS light on one cannot disable traction control on that car . . . We have it working now, but I would gladly do without the complexity and just check my tire pressures.
