2008 w/manual transmission, no backup sensors, no aftermarket items i.e. remote start or reverse cameras.
Testing battery drains and with everything turned off (I verified all lighting), doors closed, and car locked and an apparently properly functioning ignition switch, it drops down to 90-95mA at battery negative within 2 minutes of closing the doors as all the various relays click off. I put a granite block on the hood switch to keep the alarm from going off.
I can knock it down to 85mA by pulling one of the fuses. Yesterday I had it down to <10mA but I had about 10 fuses removed at the time and I wasn't able to replicate that with only 1 fuse. I think that was with fuse 17 removed (engine management, MIU, DICE/TWICE) and I didn't take that one out this afternoon.
So, is 90-95mA normal? Researching online says it should be in the 50mA area, but that's for "normal" cars.
Would the TPMS system be an issue when the car is off if the sensors weren't present (snow tires currently installed w/no sensors)? I'm wondering if the SID and/or whatever controls TPMS (DICE?) is drawing power even when the car is turned off due to missing sensors.
