Haven't read what the others said but I moved from the long (oem belt) to the short belt. Only advantage you get from the short belt compared to the oem long belt is one thing. The short belt skips the center idler pully. More moving parts = greater chance of breakage leaving you on the side of the road. Less moving parts = you getting home to watch your happy t.v program. I never had a prob with the short belt and it's been over 5 years running it. My center idler pully is still there doing nothing but I have the peace of mind if it breaks it won't slow me down.
Before I moved to the short belt the center idler pully did break on me while I was cruising down the turn pile crippled my car instantly costing me 300+ just in towing the car and me getting home. Voiding out that center idler pully puts a smile on my face every time I start the day. *uck that pully.. costing me 300+ and didn't even need it . Get the short belt
