Two separate ideas regarding the clip Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 25 Nov 2018 05:34:32 In Reply to: Replacing Oil Pressure Sender, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 23 Nov 2018 10:35:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a ~18-inch long screwdriver with thin shaft and no ground tip which I might be able to use to push into the bottom side of the lower connector body (not adjacent to the lone thin wire) to provide the necessary locating and up force while my free right hand aligns the top half of the connector and slides the red clip into place.
An alternate idea is to fashion a tight hook on the end of a length of #8 bare copper wire to provide the bottom half locating, although less up force, required.
Both ideas came to me this morning after reading all the comments. Almost enough daylight now to start this job.
Thanks to you all!
