P0138 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
1999 SE 2.3 lpt 300k miles never had J16 repaired
started getting P0138 intermittent after my heater core bypass valve elimination job last week. obviously I had my arms all in the vacuum hoses and wiring from the first O2 sensor and the wiring harness I had to pull up and move out of the way to get access to the firewall area. So thinking maybe could have wiggled the O2 sensor connector loose some or caused the J16 to weaken. (I left the valve solenoid connected and I plugged the vacuum hose that remained left over after the elimination with duct tape and a wire tie.)
question is would either actually cause a high voltage reading? I've searched and didn't see anyone listing high voltage as part of J16 or only the P0138. Seems others have had other codes for the J16. hard to think just coincidence the O2 sensor went bad at same time I did this repair. obviously not a bad idea to do the J16 anyway but....
