New Pagid Front pads - severe brake squeal at end of stop Posted by Mark in Marine [Email] (#1837) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mark in Marine) on Fri, 26 Jul 2019 16:10:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I put a new set of Pagid pad and Pagig rotors on the front of my daughter's 2006 SC with Sport Package. I used brake quiet on the inner pad against the piston, and the outer pads had a pre-applied adhesive to help quite them.
I bedded the brakes with multiple 55-to-10 mph stops on a straight part of the county road near us. When I gave her the car, I thought everything was great =). But now, three weeks later, I have the car back to work on a separate issue - and the brakes SQUEAL starting at about 15 or 10 mph until the car reaches a full stop. I bled the brakes as well. Stopping is very good and positive - at least dry; I haven't driven the car in the wet.
I went with the Pagid pads hoping for a little more grip, as opposed to the Akebono ceramics I replaced.
Any suggestions beside removal, redoing the brake quiet, and crossing my fingers ??
Thanks,
Mark in Marine
