The purge valve with short rigid plastic pipe is very easy to replace. Too bad you can't buy that alone.
You would have to ask the Saab engineers why they went from a super simple EVAP purge valve design used up to 2001 to a complicated super expansive hose and valve kit, 2002 and up.
The purge valve itself have its own Bosch part number (0280142386) but it is for no use since no one is selling it separately except used ones like in your hose case where someone had already stripped the good part.
If the electric coil in yours is bad and not operating the pintle, it is no help cleaning it.
