Depending on how bad the lenses are I've used toothpaste, polishing compound, to wet sanding followed by polishing compound. All have worked for me, just depends on how bad the lenses are. I'm not sure I'd be concerned with the stone pits if they are not in the middle of the lens. I will says that that results are better if you use a mechanical polisher unless the clouding is very light. It goes without saying that you need to mask off the surround trim if using a mechanical polisher. Good luck.
