Thank you bobc and Mark in Marine! Due to my noble propensity to avoid hard, dirty and smelly work I will take some deserved time to think over the options. I may phone my insurance broker on a nice day (which increasingly fails to materialize in Ontario) to have liab temporarily attached so I can circle our locales in order to burn fuel. Thereafter, I plan to add about 25 litres of fresh volatile fuel with additives to satisfy the vehicles insatiable appetite for high test (one of the additives will be Lucas UCL so I can avoid the replacement of the fuel pump). Hopefully, this unsavoury set of circumstances will help the next enthusiast avoid the same quandary by highlighting the vehicles distaste for the insertion of a drainage tube into its stomach.
