Unfortunately I'm the only one who can drive in my house, though I'm sure my kids would love to try. Ha. It warmed up a bit yesterday so I had the car on jack stands and gave it a try. I put it in first gear and gave it a bit of gas. The speedometer wasn't moving, so I couldn't tell if I was up to 25mph. Either way, the traction control kicked in and did what it does. That freaked me out a bit so I shut the car off. But this morning I drove around and the whine wasn't there. I'm mainly concerned with the whine being caused by low transaxle fluid or something. I do plan on draining/filling it at some point since it hasn't been done in years. And putting the car in the air allowed me to see I have a bit of a coolant leak so it was time well spent. Guess I'll just keep an eye (and ear) on it. Thanks for the help guys.
