Nope - that particular issue is always present in our '01 Aero, has been since we got it. But with the Aero, it's the actual staring/running. After maybe 2-3 starts (catches everytime, but stumbles and fails) it's all normal in every way. No acceleration hesitation, nada.
The wagon doesn't stumble at all - the engine sounds normal, the transmission sounds normal, but it simply doesn't want to go into 2nd (I think) for a minute or so. I haven't tried using the manual paddle shifters to see if that makes any difference. I don't think there's anything wrong with the transmission, either, as shifting is normal and smooth after the gremlin departs.
Have to take the wagon in for an oil change, and will have our techs take a look.
