I haven't seen that pressure sensor fail much but the other sensor mounted on intake manifold has gone bad a few times. That round sensor body is not available anymore and a sensor looking like the one in the pipe is retrofitted instead having to rewire and install a connector that fit.
My own car though, one morning a few years back, made a little hesitation and shift delay and set off C/E light. The code was one that I had never seen before and pointing to that pressure sensor in the pipe. I reset the code and a few month later, it happened again. That time I unplugged the sensor and put the connector back on and it has never happened again. Very odd indeed.
