I've only used a little powdered graphite. I don't think electronic cleaner is much of a lubricant. I'll bet all sorts of products have been poured into that little key lock, poor thing! Don't forget, the ignition switch is right below the lock. Best is to just take it out and clean it. You can decide how far you want to go. As long as you keep the key in the cylinder, the wafers won't come out. If the cylinder turns ok but not popping up, it should be enough to clean up the outside of the lock and stretching or replacing the spring - although the spring may not be the problem, it may just be gunk.
