In general, if after the reset of the spring and clearing the codes, the car stalls and likely is resetting the limp-home codes, the TB should be replaced.
If yours is original, its had more than 20 years of service; many cars are on their second in that time.
I have a 2003 V6 with just shy of 310,000 miles, and am on TB #2 after my original wouldn’t reset from limp home.
