Yes. my bushings came with a thin washer which I put at the top between the bushing and the car underside. I chose a sturdy washer to put on the bottom to withstand any forces there.
I did lube the bushings and put considerable force on the subframe with the jack, enough to lift the car off its jack stands. The bushings just weren't going in. So I decided to go the 'split' bushing route.
Works great.
