Hello,
The power supply flow would be battery cable, to ignition switch, to fuse 27 for trionic, to fuel pump relay, to fuel pump fuse 15 to fuel pump. There is a big 80 pin connector under the drivers a pillar that one time I had corrosion on the wire were it goes through there after the fuel pump fuse to the fuel pump.
How the CPS is involved is that the main relay powers parts of trionic which receives the signal from CPS. When it sees engine speed from CPS it grounds the control side of the fuel pump relay. When this happens the relay supplies power to fuse 15 for the fuel pump.
As I said I would have the mechanic introduce some sort of fuel the the intake manifold and see if the car tries to start for a second. If it tries to start the ignition switch and the CPS are fine. If it does not start most likely it is the CPS. There is a resistance spec for the CPS it is measures across pins 1 and 2. It is 860 ohms +/- 90 ohms. If the resistance is out of range it is not going to work. If it within this range it probably will work. The connector for the CPS is located to the drivers side of the throttle body on the intake manifold in a holder of 3 connectors. the black and grey connectors are for the O2 sensors. The blue connector is for the CPS. Good Luck, Bernie
