Should be D1S bulbs which have a ballast in their base. Replace in pairs with reputable brand bulbs (they are pricey but they last a very long time) and don’t fall prey to bargains on an auction site - you get what you pay for. 9/10 times the bulb replacement fixes the flicker. Best to do in pairs.
I have had good luck with Flosser from eEuroparts, however when I needed to replace over the winter I ended up with Phillips and they are good.
You should be able to access the bulbs from the engine bay - you may need to take the battery and MAF to have room to maneuver (you want to handle the bulbs with care). When I last replaced them, I pre-emptively replaced the Halogen flash-to-pass and the peanut bulbs while I was there. You can replace the peanut bulb with LED since it’s a nuisance to get in and out and it doesn’t set off any error messages, just FYI.
Good luck
