Same thing happened to mine Posted by adl6009 [Email] (#2526) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adl6009) on Thu, 9 Mar 2023 14:12:47 In Reply to: Heater Box Replacement, jkel, Thu, 9 Mar 2023 12:59:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I brought my car to an auto body shop to have the unit replaced. A friend had told me that body shops do dashboard kinda stuff a lot. It wasn't cheap but it was a lot easier than doing it myself.
I don't know if all boxes are created equal but I would consider replacing the blend door control arms before the install. Maybe get the metal ones. I wish I did.
My current problem is a couple of posts below. I still have to take it apart to diagnose correctly, but I believe it is the stepping motor that controls a mixing flap. I installed the unit in 2019 and I am not thrilled having to go back in and fix this just 4 years later. I bought from eeuroparts and the part number was 5336664. I cant fault eeu for this. I just searched for my part number and it appears to be discontinued from esaab parts and I can't find it at eeu. Let us know how you make out.
