Don’t rule out a possible blockage of the heater core as you eliminate other options. If debris was disturbed when the hose blew it could work into the heater core, which has very tiny tubing. I replaced my heater core when all other options didn’t pan out and the difference has been startling. Obviously rule out stubborn bleeding etc first.
It’s not much harder to do than the cabin filter if indeed that’s the case.
