All M3s have had their share of problems, however BMW was smart by offering a less powerfull US version in the old model, this avoided them lots of problems the Euro version had.
Considering that the AERO reduces boost until the engine is warm, and that BMW could reduce power also in a similar way to avoid engine damage... well that's a home made problem the consumer will pay for. I guess... LEDS were cheaper... and the Bosch ECU could probably not cope with more gadgets anyways... by now the Germans have probably figured out the 8086 CPU so they're using it I guess ;) JK Someone tell em about the P4... 2.8Ghz
