My wife currently has a Lexus SC400 . A fairly quick and very reliable car. Although she can drive stick, she would surely get an automatic at this point.
Since I have a Saab and she hates the stigma attached to show-off BMWs and thinks Benzes are both ostentatious and stuffy, Saab 9-5 wagon is the only choice.
She is also a very understated and low-profile person, and actually gets embarrassed when riding in friend’s BMWs.
My concern has to do with the GM V6 engine. She would definitely sacrifice some power to get a true-blue Saab engine.
I guess that would point me towards the I4.
Well, some of the decisions are getting easier to be made because of all the responses. I still think its bull crap to change a timing belt at 60k miles, regardless of who is paying for it. I’m almost sorry GM bought all of Saab and is cramming its engines in those wonderful cars.
Once again, I’m not dinging people who bought the V6s and are happy with them.
This is America, the most blessed and free country in the world and thank God for that freedom of choice.
Sorry, couldn’t help to get a bit patriotic here. Thanks all for the honest responses
Romo-man!
