Hey All,
This is an extension of a longer (and previous) conversation but... I put in the EBC Green Stuff Brake pads on my '02 Aero and the results are -so far- astonishing. Brake dust is essentially zero - especially after they bed-in (which took about 200 miles). The dealarship was supportive and gave me no warrantee concerns. In addition, I asked about oil viscosities... I had been using Mobil1 5w/30 and changing a 5K intervals. The new 0w/40 from Mobil1 seems to be the oil of choice for general use as it has achieved an SL rating and advanced European ratings as well. The mechanic who had just returned from the new 9-3 school said that 0w/40 will be the factory fill on all new Saabs and that Saab is endorsing its use in High Pressure turbo's (Mitsubishi) that are fitted to Aero's.
Happy dustless/smokeless motoring
