I don't know exactly what the recalibrate does, whether it is climate sensitive, or just resets itself to standard settings. I did it and found the AC was a little colder and the fan was one notch faster. Now a few months later it seems to have reset itself back to the original. I don't think there is anything "wrong" with it, as several people here have had the same observations. My '95 has what appears to be the same system, and it works a lot better. Colder, faster, and more consistent. I agree, the ACC in the 9-5 could be better.
