Bad Dog! That part is expensive!
Anyways, if it is the retractable one, to uninstall it, retract the net into the housing, fold both seats down and give the housing a sharp rap with the heel of your hand on the driver's side (LH) end. It should move about 2cm. Now it is simply a matter of lifting the entire unit out.
You will be left with the mounting brackets in the back of the seat- if you remove them there will be holes in the trim. They don't look out of place though!
