Are you sure Saab or Toyota dealers sell Toyota T-4 ATF now?
It was a few years ago, but when T-4 was introduced, I could not even buy those at Toyota dealership. The only way to get it was directly from Exxon, which only came in a 500-gal drum can (that's what my company's test lab ended up doing anyway.)
Factory fill fluid is sometimes impossible for individual to get.Honda PSF is another example. I think Honda dealers do not sell exact factory-fill PSF-S fluid, and they often use equivalent SAE grade motor oils too.
What is your reservation with Mobile 1 ATF for 5-spd AW AT? In general, I do have small concern to go synthetic, especially when factory-fill is mineral fluid due to potential fluid compatibility and cold temp leakage problem, depending on oil seal material. I did replace factory-fill Texamatic synthetic ATF with Mobile 1 ATF on my '99 9-3 4-spd AW AT with no issues. Actually vibration and shifting quality was noticably improved, so I'm wondering doing the same for my '03 9-5 in future (I got only 4,000 miles on it so not too crazy about it.)
Thanks,
Kurt
