If you run 87 octane, the engine will ping slightly under heavy load/ However, no harm will be done to the engine due to the safe guards in the engine management software(retarding timing in any or all cylinders, adding fuel to "put out the fire" and boost reduction. The latter not so much in lpt but more in the aero). Mid grade fuel works just as well with out any pinging. Premium fuel is a wast of your hard earned cash in a lpt.
