I have been complaining about hesitation from day 1 with my '03 Arc. There seems to be a built-in delay between initial pressure on the accelerator, and an increase in RMP. When the engine does kick in, after about a second, it is turning over faster than I intended. This makes it hard to accelerate smoothly out of a corner, and makes for lurchy starts in parking lots. Others on this board have responded to my complaints by saying I am waiting for the turbo, but this happens at the lowest RPM, not at all in turbo range. It is most noticable in Sport or Manual mode. I have owned 11 other cars, most European, 1 Saab. I have never had a car that drove this way before.
